New Snowfall Map
Main discussion will be up by 5:00 p.m. tonight, but until then, here's my new snowfall map. I made a move to lower snowfall totals across the board by 2", because most forecast models have decreased the amount of precipitation that is expected to fall from this storm. Still though, Lake Orion should receive 6-10" of snow from this storm, with the potential for 12" or more of snowfall if we are in the path of one of the heavy bands of snow. Even the lowest snowfall amount that I have forecasted (and my forecast totals are lower than most other people's) is 6", which should still be enough to get a snow day tomorrow. Therefore, I will keep our snow day chances at very high.

If we really have a snowday tomorrow, I'll be so excited!
John, the way this thing looks, we prolly will have a snow day. I know we a new superintendent, but he has gotta make the right choice, and plus so many kids are gonna skip anyways
I don't know if I've said it on this blog before, but I know I've said it before, so:
I don't think having a new superintendent matters. Remember: it looks just as bad for the school district if they don't call a snow day and some buses get into accidents.
And to further my previous comments, I just got off of the phone with Mr. Gutman (current superintendent) and he said that a group of 16 people decides whether or not 15 schools will have a snow day. So, it's a lot of people deciding.
