Somewhat Important Note:

Due to the popularity of the blog, I receive numerous Facebook requests before potential snowstorms. Although I am flattered that you want to follow me on Facebook, I would ask that you not friend request me unless you know me in real life. It's nothing personal, I've just decided I don't want too many friends on Facebook.

Thanks, John

Why haven't they called off school yet!?

This is really bad. As you said, this will negatively affect your credibility, as you were extremely confident that school would be called off today. So sad. So sad.

I suggest you quit now and delete your blog and go back to just telling your family and close friends the weather report cause you lost your touch kid.

its not his fault that we didn't have a cold day. It just didn't get as cold as it was supposed to be. He just reports what he thinks the weather will be. chill out

okay everyone, settle down. it's not his fault that it wasn't as cold as it was supposed to be.

What about friday?

Anonymous said...

John. What were you thinking?

Give him a break guys! We have a new superintendent who is a bit tighter on calling school. It's going to be diferent this year. Plus, there isn't a set temp. where school is called off so if other schools in Oakland County aren't calling off school we won't be the only ones.

John,
Just so you know, we appreciate your help. I was pretty dissapointed when I woke up this morning and even cussed out the LOHS hotline recording lady. But thanks for all your predictions and I don't know what I'd do without this blog for reference! :)

Everyone needs to stop saying "he lost his touch". So the windchill's didn't get as low as they were supposed to? Its one day. Gawd. Calm down.

And for those of you saying you're going to blame John for not getting your homework done... grow up.

What about Friday?????????

You know, I was pretty upset this morning (not all my hw was done; ignored Murphy's Law), but I realize that it really isn't your fault. To be totally honest, it didn't feel that cold this morning.

In any case, I'll let go of the past and share my thoughts about tomorrow. AccuWeather says that the temp tomorrow morning at 7 will be -1, and will feel like -23 (http://www.accuweather.com/us/mi/lake-orion/48360/forecast-hourly.asp?partner=accuweather&metric=0&hbhday=2&hbhhour=1), as opposed to today at 7, when the temp was 4 and it felt like 5 (no kidding, that's what they're saying: http://www.accuweather.com/us/mi/lake-orion/48360/forecast-hourly.asp?partner=accuweather&metric=0&hbhday=1&hbhhour=1).

BTW, what's the phenomenon that makes 4-degree weather feel like 5-degree weather, especially in the winter? Wouldn't pretty much any wind gust make it feel colder?

Anyway, it I were to trust AccuWeather, I'd say there's much better hope for Friday. After all, -23 sounds (and probably feels) a lot worse than +5. So here's hopin!

Dude, I have alot of respect for the way u put up with some comments. and btw no one should be pissed cuz they didnt do their homework...they should do it anyway...murphys law

Yikes. That's a bit harsh. Granted I'm the same person who said the 'Psh, why break tradition topic'...

It's all in good spirits. I still love John. *bearhug*

i really enjoy reading your stuff. i forgive you, cold days are hard to predict!

Anonymous said...

if you didn't get your homework done that was your own stupid problem for not just being careful. I even knew that a cold day was only if the great god above gave us a smile. It's not johns fault. I still trust him.

Anonymous said...

John I still have faith in you! Cold days are just so unpredictable, I'll still believe you every time. Don't give up!
