Somewhat Important Note:

Due to the popularity of the blog, I receive numerous Facebook requests before potential snowstorms. Although I am flattered that you want to follow me on Facebook, I would ask that you not friend request me unless you know me in real life. It's nothing personal, I've just decided I don't want too many friends on Facebook.

Thanks, John

Next big storm?

Forecast models have been all over the place with a storm that will occur around the 17th-20th next week, with tracks ranging from through Lower Michigan to off of the Atlantic Coast. However, the important thing is that most models are consistently showing a big snowstorm next week, which is the first time they have done that since the forecasted "blizzard" early this month. So, I think it's safe to say that SOMEONE will get a big storm next week. But at this point, no meteorologist could safely tell you who is most likely to get the big storm next week, especially after a lot of people (including myself) busted big time on the supposed "blizzard" early this month.

Worth watching though, because there will be enough cold air for a lot of snow to occur to the north and west of the track of the low. However, the storm will pull up enough warm air for rain to occur to the south and east of the track of the low.
