Somewhat Important Note:

Due to the popularity of the blog, I receive numerous Facebook requests before potential snowstorms. Although I am flattered that you want to follow me on Facebook, I would ask that you not friend request me unless you know me in real life. It's nothing personal, I've just decided I don't want too many friends on Facebook.

Thanks, John

Lookin' Goooood :)

I will post a full update by midnight tonight, but right now I'll just say that it's looking good for another nice snowstorm in SE Michigan. As of right now, it definitely seems like we're going to get affected by a storm, the main question is whether we will changeover to ice or rain rain at some point, which would obviously cut down on accumulations. Right now, it looks like that probably won't happen, and that accumulations of 5-9" look likely. If we can get into the heaviest bands, 10"+ is even possible. Obviously more will be known about this storm in the next couple of days, and I will have a lot more confidence in any one solution by tomorrow night. Tuesday looks decent for a snow day right now.

With the major inconsistencies in model runs up until last night, the next run or two will be crucial. The potential timing is kinda disappointing for school closures though.
