Somewhat Important Note:

Due to the popularity of the blog, I receive numerous Facebook requests before potential snowstorms. Although I am flattered that you want to follow me on Facebook, I would ask that you not friend request me unless you know me in real life. It's nothing personal, I've just decided I don't want too many friends on Facebook.

Thanks, John

Final Prediction

I stand by pretty much everything I posted last night...the following video should supplement things nicely. I am predicting no snow day for Lake Orion tomorrow. Right now there is around 2.5" of snow on the ground...I am expecting us to end up with anywhere from 4-5" of snow...although isolated totals of over 5" of snow are possible, especially on the east side of town.

So what is your official letter grade?

So widespread 6 inches from the Dec. 12. storm was enough to close many schools for 2 days, and that was 6 inches over a longer period of time and it ended earlier than the current storm. But 4-6 inches over a shorter period of time and ending later won't even close school for 1 day ??

The other storm was very different. It had a punch of bitterly cold air which froze anything that hit the ground pretty much. This is just a covering of snow that should melt in the morning. Easy as that. If the remaining snow melts snow and it's tomorrow night, we could have very bad roads, as it will be as cold as that storm was in December.
