Somewhat Important Note:

Due to the popularity of the blog, I receive numerous Facebook requests before potential snowstorms. Although I am flattered that you want to follow me on Facebook, I would ask that you not friend request me unless you know me in real life. It's nothing personal, I've just decided I don't want too many friends on Facebook.

Thanks, John

John, nice touch with the energy drink. Thanks for the update. I guess your sister will get out of taking notes on Andrew Jackson for a few days. Oh well, he is overrated anyway.

Hi John, We've been enjoying your blog and find it very informative. You have been known at our house for years as "the weather guru". Matt, Emily and Nick consult you first when it comes to predicting snow days!

Hey John Thanks! I must say you make these blog entries interesting. I enjoy learning about the weather patterns and other weather related things from you. Now, I am not sure if you are going into the meteorology field, but I gotta say you would make a fantastic weather advisor. Really, I enjoy learning about the weather from you. Thank you for continuing to do this, you do it so well.

John, I laughed out loud at the energy drink! Great job on the forecast and I heard that Channel 4got in touch with you today - are they going to do a feature on you or something? Our famous LO weatherman - we knew you when - oh wait - your whole life!

Love, Mom

YES! Great job John! Someone needs to update LOHS's famous alum page on Wiki to reflect your growing fame across SE MI.

I pretty much love you.

All you need now is a green screen and perhaps a sexy weather girl, and you've got yourself a top-notch weather show.

Also, disagreeing with the NWS is pretty bad-ass, especially when you logically explain your reasoning.

Great job!! So happy to learn that your fan-base is growing. News is spreading like wildfire. It is now cool to quote "John Schlenner" in/around the LOHS. (Especially in the IRC/Media Center!!)
Two suggestions: 1) Theme music to open and close the broadcast
2) You need a cool nick-name.
Maybe a contest amongst your fans for a creative nick-name. Keep up the good work!! Thanks, Ms. Olsen

I'll be honest, that energy drink was purely epic.

What else is there to say that hasn't already been said...Been following you for years, tell everyone I know, love your "easy to understand" description of events, and check in daily just in case! Thanks for all your hard work and your dedication!

Hey, John.
Great prediction, your reasoning is pretty tight. I am totally excited...except for the shoveling.

On the other hand, you really ought to follow the rule of thirds. Your eyes should be roughly a third of the way down from the top of the screen, for a much more pleasant camera shot.

Either way, awesome video, you definitely have some weather skills.

Hey John,
Here at Scripps we are quite impressed with your expertise! It's pretty cool that Orion has its own weather blog! Your 'old'
6th grade teachers were impressed with you back then...Best of Luck John...and I am confident that you are right on with your forecast!
